A federal judge in California, P. Casey Pitts, has issued a nationwide block against the Trump administration’s policy of making arrests at immigration courts. This ruling is notable as it contradicts a Supreme Court ruling stating that district judges cannot make nationwide decisions. Judge Pitts found the policy to be "arbitrary and capricious," highlighting its "chilling effect" on noncitizens' attendance at court. He asserted that merely extending existing policies to immigration courthouses would not resolve these issues, as they fail to consider the negative impact on legal proceedings. The decision has sparked criticism, with some labeling Judge Pitts as a "far-left Biden judge. "
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
