US lab unlocks secrets of superconductors that ensure no energy is lost during electricity flow

Recent research by scientists at the U. S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory has made significant progress in understanding high-temperature superconductors. These materials allow electricity to flow without losing energy as heat, which can enhance various technologies. The study reveals how small changes in atomic structure and material composition can lead to superconductivity at higher temperatures and lower pressures.
