The FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating an alleged illegal biological lab discovered in a home in northeast Las Vegas. This update shares key findings from the investigation.
• Search Warrant Execution: On Saturday, authorities executed a search warrant at a property near Washington Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
• Evidence Found: Investigators found evidence of biological material, including refrigerators with vials containing unknown liquids. Over 1,000 samples have been collected.
• Ownership and Links: The property is owned by David Destiny Discovery, LLC, which is registered to Jia Bei Zhu, a Chinese national also linked to a similar illegal lab investigation in Reedley, California, in 2023.
• Arrest Made: Ori Solomon, the property manager, has been arrested for improperly disposing of hazardous waste. Jia Bei Zhu was previously arrested in October 2023 related to the Reedley lab.
• Investigation Status: All collected samples are being tested at the National Bioforensic Analysis Center in Maryland. There are currently no safety concerns in the area surrounding the lab.
