TEXTBOOK HATE: How Mexico Floods the U.S. with Anti-American Textbooks to Indoctrinate Kids from L.A. to Orlando

Peter Schweizer, in his book "The Invisible Coup," discusses how Mexico is sending anti-American textbooks to the United States. He argues that this is part of a strategy to ideologically influence Mexican immigrants and prevent their assimilation into American culture.

• Textbook Distribution: Mexico reportedly sends about one million textbooks annually to the U. S. through over 50 consulates. These books promote a Marxist perspective and are designed to teach a version of history that aligns with Mexican nationalism.

• Goals of the Textbooks: The aim is to create loyalty to Mexico among young migrants rather than to the United States. This effort is linked to the belief in “Reconquista,” the idea of reclaiming territories lost to the U. S. in the 19th century.

• Content of Textbooks: The materials include themes that criticize capitalism, portraying it negatively from an early age. For example, they suggest that capitalism is a fundamental cause of social inequality and depict the U. S. as an adversary.

• Cultural Indoctrination: The textbooks celebrate events like the Mexican-American War from a Mexican perspective, fostering a narrative that encourages young students to remain connected to their Mexican roots. Some Mexican officials describe this as a pathway to creating a bicultural society in America.

• Economic Motivations: There is a financial aspect to this indoctrination. Many Mexicans in the U. S. send significant remittances back home, and encouraging these individuals to feel loyalty to Mexico may ensure continued financial support to Mexican regions.

Schweizer's insights highlight a coordinated effort by the Mexican government to influence the perceptions of young Mexican immigrants in the U. S. through the distribution of ideologically loaded textbooks. This initiative aims to foster a sense of Mexican identity and allegiance instead of American patriotism.
