Grassley: FBI Records Show Partisan Officials Killed Clinton Campaign Investigation

 U. S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley has released internal communications showing that Department of Justice (DOJ) officials chose not to pursue a criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) regarding alleged campaign finance violations.

• Grassley disclosed emails and a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) communication revealing that DOJ officials ignored evidence provided by FBI agents about Clinton's and the DNC's misconduct.

• The misconduct included hidden payments made to Fusion GPS for creating the Steele Dossier, which falsely suggested collusion between Trump and Russia.

• The decision not to investigate was made by Richard Pilger from DOJ's Public Integrity Section and J. P. Cooney from the U. S. Attorney’s Office for D. C.

• Grassley claims that whistleblowers alerted him to the interference by the DOJ and noted the contrasting approach taken by officials in the Arctic Frost investigation aimed at Trump.

• Grassley expressed gratitude to Attorney General Bondi and FBI Director Patel for providing the requested information.

Grassley plans to continue his investigation into these matters, highlighting concerns over partisan behavior in the DOJ's handling of campaign-related issues.
