Majority of Americans favor voter ID requirement, split on mail-in voting ban

 Recent polling conducted by Noble Predictive Insights surveyed 2,565 registered voters regarding President Donald Trump's proposals to enhance election integrity, including banning mail-in voting and implementing voter ID requirements.

1. Mail-in Voting Ban:

• 47% of Americans support banning mail-in voting, while 48% oppose it.

• Support varies by demographics: 54% of males favor the ban, compared to only 41% of females.

• Support is high among 77% of Republicans, but only 20% of Democrats and 41% of Independents support the measure.

2. Voter ID Requirement:

• A significant 71% of voters support requiring ID at polling places, with only 23% opposed.

• Support is strongest among Republicans (92%) and less among Democrats (49%).

• Gender and racial divides exist; 75% of males support it, with 78% of white voters in favor.

• Support increases with income and education levels, and varies by age, with older voters showing greater support.

The poll highlights a divide in public opinion regarding mail-in voting, with more widespread support for voter ID requirements. The margin of error for the poll is 2%.
