Don’t California Georgia’s Energy

California has faced regarding energy production and regulation, suggesting that similar policies could adversely affect Georgia if Democratic candidates gain control of local energy regulation.

1. Energy Control in the U. S.:

• Energy policy is shared between federal and state governments. While the federal government sets national standards, states manage power generation and resources.

2. California's Energy Crisis:

• California has experienced rolling blackouts and high energy costs due to inadequate power generation and the closure of various power plants, including nuclear and coal facilities.

• Environmental policies have led to the shutdown of power plants, despite an increase in California's population and energy demand.

3. California's Energy Sources:

• The state now relies heavily on wind, solar, and other renewable sources that receive substantial taxpayer subsidies, while traditional energy sources like coal and nuclear have been significantly reduced.

• California's residential electricity costs are among the highest in the country, driven by these policies.

4. Impact of Political Control:

• The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) enforces strict regulations, shaped by elected officials with radical environmental agendas, which have resulted in energy instability and high costs.

• California's voters are partly responsible for these policies by electing leaders who support them.

5. Potential Risks for Georgia:

• As Georgia heads into elections, there is concern that the Democratic party could implement similar policies if they gain control of the Public Service Commission (PSC).

• The PSC regulates electricity and energy sources in Georgia, and a change in leadership could lead to closures of effective power plants and shifts towards unreliable renewable energy sources.

To prevent a California-like energy situation in Georgia, it is recommended to vote for Republican candidates, Tim Echols and Fitz Johnson, in the upcoming November 4th election. Ensuring Republican control over the PSC is essential for maintaining stable and affordable energy policies in Georgia. Early voting is encouraged, continuing until October 31st, to avoid potential issues on Election Day.
