• Magma Movements: Magma is now situated just a few miles below the surface, increasing the likelihood of an eruption if pressure continues to build.

• Potential Consequences of Eruption: If Campi Flegrei erupts, it could cool global temperatures for several years, disrupting food supplies and leading to widespread famine. Historical precedents, like the volcanic winter of 536 AD, underscore the severity of such events.
