House committees: New questions emerge about Democrat fundraising platform ActBlue

 A congressional investigation is underway regarding ActBlue, a Democratic campaign contribution platform. This follows concerns about potential circumvention of campaign finance laws.

• A recent report highlights that ActBlue leaders did not adequately address fraud on their platform, despite awareness of misuse.

• The platform reportedly relaxed its fraud-prevention measures in 2024, making them more lenient and attempting to conceal these changes.

• ActBlue's internal issues are concerning, with resignations of senior staff members, including its legal officer, since February.

• The House Judiciary Committee has requested more documents and two interviews with ActBlue's CEO, Regina Wallace-Jones, by April 16.

Ongoing scrutiny raises questions about ActBlue's ability to meet federal election laws and manage fraud effectively.
