Grifterism: The Economic Engine of Democrats

This article discusses the concept of "Grifterism," a term used to describe the Democratic Party's economic system. According to the author, Cynical Publius, Grifterism is structured to benefit a select few while hindering true economic freedom and growth.

1. Definition of Grifterism: Grifterism refers to an economic system characterized by the exploitation of various classes in society: Billionaires, Productives, Dependents, and Grifters themselves.

2. Classes in Grifterism:

• Billionaires: They create businesses and pay a large share of taxes, yet they are seen as complicit in the grifting system. Their wealth and influence help maintain regulatory frameworks that favor them, reducing competition and promoting monopolies.

• Productives: This class includes those who actively contribute to society (like doctors, farmers, small business owners). They face economic instability and rely heavily on their ability to navigate a regulatory landscape created by Grifters, putting them at risk of failure.

• Dependents: These are individuals who rely on government assistance. While some cannot support themselves, others exploit welfare systems. Dependents vote for Grifters, perpetuating the cycle of dependence.

• Grifters: Comprising government workers, lobbyists, and various professionals, this class benefits disproportionately from the system. They enjoy job security, better benefits, and a unique ability to create regulatory policies that serve their interests.

3. Interconnectedness of Classes: Each of these groups interacts symbiotically. Billionaires like those in the Grifter class benefit from regulations that hinder competition, which in turn keeps the other classes alike dependent or exploited. The entire system benefits the Grifters at the expense of the others.

4. The Role of Regulatory Capture: The article highlights how Billionaires influence regulations to create barriers for new competitors, which reinforces their economic power and the status quo of Grifterism.

5. Critique of Current Democratic Policies: The author suggests that Democratic economic policies are not entirely socialist, capitalistic, or fascist, but rather a unique blend that fosters Grifterism. This blend of policies is viewed as a means for maintaining power among elites while presenting inequitable solutions under the guise of equity.

Grifterism is portrayed as an economic cancer that must be addressed for the sake of true freedom and opportunity in America. The author calls on Americans to recognize and combat this system, suggesting that dismantling Grifterism is essential for future prosperity. The article advocates for understanding the dynamics of these classes and challenges readers to rethink their perspectives on economic policies linked to the Democratic Party.
