Now pardoned J6 political prisoner claims he has evidence Capitol Police incited riots

Jacob Hiles, a charter boat captain from Virginia Beach, claims he has video evidence showing that Capitol Police incited violence during the January 6, 2021, riot. After being pardoned by former President Donald Trump, Hiles asserts that federal agents threatened him with long prison sentences if he shared his footage. He claims to have over an hour of video from the events, with at least nine minutes depicting police using a "super soaker" filled with bear spray to provoke the crowd.

Hiles provides examples of incidents within his video, including footage of a man, identified as a Vietnam veteran, questioning why he was sprayed with pepper spray by the police. Hiles's testimony challenges the official narrative that the police acted in a defensive manner. He insists that the police's actions using tear gas and other munitions triggered a confrontation rather than the crowd being solely responsible for the violence.

In a Zoom meeting with a special agent in charge of the January 6 events, Hiles claims he was warned that discussing his videos publicly would lead to severe consequences, including spending his life in prison. Hiles's lawyer believes that this conversation was documented, which could serve as further evidence of intimidation faced by January 6 protesters.

Hiles's claims align with assertions made by other protesters suggesting that the Capitol Police played a role in inciting the riots. He argues that the widely accepted narrative of a chaotic insurrectionist mob is false, stating that the events of January 6 were manipulated by government overreach. The evidence presented by Hiles could lead to a reevaluation of the circumstances surrounding the day, suggesting a more complex situation than previously portrayed.
