Is there still anyone who believes that DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) is beneficial? If so, that person may lack proper understanding. Putting people in jobs based on their skills, intelligence, and courage is crucial, rather than hiring them due to their minority status, gender, or sexual orientation, which can be dangerous. The California wildfires are stark evidence of this issue. California has often been a testing ground for progressive policies, all of which have failed, yet progressives refuse to acknowledge these failures.
These policies have resulted in significant tragedies, including wildfires that caused over a hundred billion dollars in losses. The left appears indifferent to individual lives and property that do not belong to them. Pacific Palisades, once a beautiful community, has faced devastation, with many homes, including modest ones, destroyed. Families who contributed to the community are now displaced and have lost everything, and their lives will never return to normal.
The fires should never have occurred. Gavin Newsom, who aspires to be president, is unfit to govern California. He refuses to take responsibility for his disastrous policies, which have harmed the state. His decisions, such as destroying dams and limiting water access, seem nonsensical. Similarly, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, prioritizes diversity and inclusion over qualifications. She left the country while the fires threatened the community.
Both Newsom and Bass should be impeached for their failures. Many Southern Californians are angry with them, realizing that those who previously voted for these Democratic leaders may now shift their support to Republicans as they negotiate rebuilding their lives amidst excessive regulations. The nation is still recovering from the previous administration's policies, which have had devastating effects, including an open border that leads to further tragedies.
If the recent disasters prompt progressives to reconsider their support for such leaders, there may be a small silver lining. Ultimately, these destructive fires occurred due to irresponsible leadership from elected officials like Newsom and Bass, chosen solely because of their party affiliation. Voters must wake up and recognize their part in the calamity affecting California and the thousands who have lost so much.
