Venezuelan prison gang crime, arrests confirmed in 22 U.S. states

Of the over 14 million illegal border crossers reported during the Biden administration, some members of the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua (TdA) prison gang have entered the U. S. Police records confirm that TdA-related crimes have occurred in 22 U. S. states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Texas, and more. The gang is known for serious crimes such as murder, kidnapping, extortion, and drug trafficking, and is linked to over 100 investigations nationwide.

The U. S. Department of Homeland Security is searching for 600 suspected TdA members currently in the U. S. Local police reports have yet to confirm their presence in every state, but federal agencies have issued bulletins to help identify them. In the West, arrests have been made in several states, including New Mexico where fugitives wanted for murder and kidnapping in Texas were caught. In California, crimes by illegal border crossers involve thefts connected to a South American theft group, but police have not confirmed any ties to TdA.

In the Midwest, arrests include violent crimes in Illinois and Indiana, and there were recent cases in North and South Dakota. In the Gulf states, TdA members have been involved in sex trafficking operations in Louisiana and Texas. In Texas, the governor declared TdA as a foreign terrorist organization. In the Southeast, several arrests were made for serious felonies, including terrorism charges in North Carolina.

In the Northeast, TdA members have been arrested for various violent crimes. There is confusion on social media linking TdA to other groups, but authorities are still investigating. Both TdA and South American theft groups commit crimes but have different methods and focuses, and they all illegally entered the U. S. under the Biden administration.
