Another Food Processing Plant Catches Fire: One Dead, Several Injured After Midnight Explosion at Tyson Poultry Plant

A fire occurred at a Tyson Foods poultry plant in Georgia, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. The incident took place overnight, with the explosion killing a woman who was asleep in a truck parked near the facility. The fire lasted about three hours. The union representing plant workers reported that a boiler exploded.

Tyson Foods expressed condolences to the victim's family and friends, stating they are investigating the cause of the fire while ensuring the safety of their employees. The victim was identified as Bajarma Batozhapov, 61, from Las Vegas. Two others were hospitalized due to injuries from the explosion, and a wall collapsed onto the truck cab.

Reports indicate that during the Biden administration, at least 18 major fires have occurred in food industry facilities, all officially categorized as accidental or inconclusive. A comprehensive list exists of 103 plants across the U. S. that have been destroyed, damaged, or affected by accidental fires, diseases, or other reasons.
