Trump Announces 25% Tariff on All Products From Mexico and Canada Until Illegal Alien Invasion is Stopped, Will Impose Additional Tariff on China Over Fentanyl

 President Trump announced a 25% tariff on all products from Mexico and Canada until the flow of illegal immigration and drugs, particularly fentanyl, is stopped. He claims that over 15 million illegal immigrants have entered the U. S. since President Biden took office, primarily facilitated by what he calls ineffective border policies. Trump stated that Mexico and Canada could resolve the situation quickly but have chosen not to, and he will implement this tariff as a consequence.

Additionally, Trump revealed plans to impose a 10% tariff on all products from China until it ceases the export of fentanyl to the United States. He criticized Biden's handling of the fentanyl crisis, which has led to over 70,000 American deaths annually. Trump expressed frustration over China's lack of action regarding drug trafficking, noting that they promised strict penalties but have not followed through. He is determined to take these steps immediately upon the start of his second term.
