The press has dutifully started filing stories about how experts think Trump is a fascist and how Democrats are clanging the alarms to warn the public about the existential threat he poses.
The first reason is that the Left isn't just calling Trump a fascist.
The second reason is that none of the people calling Trump a fascist today will pay a price for it tomorrow.
