FEMA Staffers Say Hurricane Relief ‘Got the Shaft’ Because Illegals Prioritized Over Americans

Illegal aliens arriving at the southern border take priority over Hurricane Helene victims according to FEMA staff who claim the agency’s “compromised” relief effort in the Appalachians was caused by a political decision that was made above their heads.

One woman from western North Carolina shared her frustrating experience with FEMA representatives on the disaster site, stating that the agency is “too tied up at the border” to fulfill its responsibilities in the wake of the hurricane.

Watch: As Hurricane Helene ravages the eastern seaboard, unleashing destruction and chaos, the Biden-Harris administration’s mismanagement of FEMA is becoming alarmingly evident, with dire consequences for affected communities.

Yet, in the face of this national disaster, the Biden-Harris administration’s FEMA appears woefully unprepared.

Over $1 billion, which should have been used for American disaster relief for citizens, has instead been redirected into resettling illegal immigrants through programs like the “Shelter and Services Program.” According to the Biden administration’s own reports, FEMA allocated $364 million in the 2023 fiscal year and another $650 million for 2024 to provide humanitarian services to illegal immigrants released from DHS custody.

For the second consecutive year, FEMA has implemented Immediate Needs Funding, putting long-term recovery projects on hold due to a severe shortage in the Disaster Relief Funds (DRF), according to a report from NRDC last month.

Instead of rebuilding communities, repairing public infrastructure, or mitigating future disasters, FEMA is sinking taxpayer dollars into programs for illegal immigrants while disaster-stricken Americans wait for help that may never come.
