Peter Navarro Released From Prison After Serving Four-Month Sentence

Former Trump advisor Peter Navarro was released from a Miami federal prison on Wednesday morning following the serving of a four-month sentence for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the January 6 committee.

Navarro is expected to travel to Milwaukee following his release to address the Republican National Convention.

Navarro's prison consultant Sam Mangel told CNN that Navarro worked as a law library clerk during his time at the prison.

"Everybody has to work. It gave him a chance to write," Mangel said, who added that Navarro was well-liked and respected by the inmates in the prison.

Navarro is one of two Trump advisors to be imprisoned for refusing to comply with subpoenas from the committee.

Steve Bannon reported to a Connecticut prison on July 1 to begin serving his four-month sentence.

Navarro's team wrote on X ahead of his release that "The best is yet to come."
