Le Pen Facing 10 Years In Prison As Macron's Weaponized Justice System Seeks To Ban Her From Holding Office

A probe has reportedly been launched into Marine Le Pen's allegedly "Illegal" financing of her presidential campaign in 2022 as President Emmanuel Macron prepares to weaponize the French justice system in the same manner as US President Joe Biden.

If convicted, Le Pen is facing ten years in prison and a lifetime ban from holding political office.

Marine Le Pen remains the heavy favorite to win the French presidential election to be held in 2027, and while the far-left formed a coalition in last week's presidential election to keep Le Pen's National Rally out of government, the results revealed that Macron's party is less popular than ever.

French prosecutors launched the investigation into "Suspicious or illegal financing" by Le Pen and the National Rally party during the 2022 presidential election, the BFMTV news outlet reported on Tuesday, citing sources.

RT report: The commission reportedly found discrepancies with several 2022 campaigns, but only Le Pen's case has so far become the subject of a probe, BFMTV claimed.

It is unclear what punishment either Le Pen or the RN could face if the probe produces evidence of illegalities.

Le Pen, along with her father and RN founder Jean-Marie, is also currently at the center of an embezzlement probe.
