A 12-year-old student was allegedly sent home from Nichols Middle School for wearing a shirt that read: "There are only two genders."
His shirt featured a statement of what was a well-known fact for thousands of years of human history up until perhaps the 1950s, when a new and baseless distinction between sex and gender was founded.
Liam Morrison spoke about his experience at a school committee meeting in Middleborough, Massachusetts.
According to Morrison, he was pulled from gym class and asked to change his shirt because the words made some "Feel unsafe" - although he said that many students actually shared their support for his shirt, and none voiced concerns or expressed hurt to him.
In speaking to the school committee, Morrison made the case that this was an abridgement of his First Amendment right to free speech guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
Morrison's experience, if true, proves what conservatives should already know but are set on denying: There is no such thing as a neutral public sphere.
The school cracked down on Morrison's free speech and, in doing so, sided with the progressive gender ideology.
