Attorney General John Formella, in a “cease and desist” letter to the legal counsel for the New Hampshire Democrat Party, said the mailers urging voters to request absentee ballot applications for the 2022 midterm elections provided the wrong addresses for city and town clerks and other errors that are “causing voter confusion and frustration” for voters.
With Joe Biden’s approval rating in the low 30s in New Hampshire, Republicans are hoping to flip two House seats and one Senate seats which are currently held by Democrats. In the Senate, conservative Republican Don Bolduc is challenging Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan in a contest that could help decide control of the U.S. Senate.
In a closely watched congressional race in New Hampshire’s 1st District, Democrat Rep. Chris Pappas faces a challenge from Republican Karoline Leavitt, a former Trump White House aide who defeated four other Republican candidates in the Sept. 13 state primary.
Formella ordered the Democrats to contact more than 900 voters in 39 cities and towns who received the incorrect mailers and to clarify any errors and explain what voters need to do to obtain an absentee ballot.
“The return mail addresses on the mailer are likely to mislead voters into intentionally violating (state law),” Formella wrote. “It could also disenfranchise some voters in that voters may complete absentee ballot applications believing that they will receive ballots for the general election, only to discover that their applications were never delivered to their town or city clerks.”
Formella said some voters who received the Democrat Party’s mailers were told that they “have a history of requesting absentee ballots” when they had never voted by mail in the past. New Hampshire allows voters to cast absentee ballots ahead of state elections by mail if they will be absent from the town or city they live in on Election Day or are unable to show up to the polls because of a disability, illness, job, or religious observance." Democrat Kelly and the Biden administration have allowed nearly 2 million illegal migrants into the nation in this fiscal year. August represents the fifth month in a row in which migrant apprehensions exceeded 180,000 migrants. Illegal immigration increases rent costs, reduces American wages, burdens law enforcement, overwhelms the social welfare nets, undermines employees’ workplace rights, and extracts human resources from poor home countries.
Trump-endorsed candidate Blake Masters slammed Kelly for allowing such a massive amount of migrants into the United States. “Mark Kelly welcomes them and wants them resettled into our cities and towns by the millions,” Masters tweeted. “Zero independence, he’s just along for the ride. Mindlessly supporting Biden’s agenda as it ruins our state and our country.” "Then again, Kamala says the border is secure and Biden says inflation is 0%. The Democrats lie about everything because the truth is so bad for them,” the Republican added.
Kelly has claimed he does not support Biden’s open borders. “I’m not for open borders. I think we need border security. We also have to treat people fairly,” he said. Evidence suggests Kelly is for open borders. He has voted to defund border wall construction 3 times in 2021 alone, voted against Title 42 three times, and voted against hiring 18,000 Border Patrol agents before any new IRS agents are hired. “It’s incumbent on our elected officials to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest. In this case, Senator Kelly has failed the test,” wrote Schweizer, a Breitbart News senior contributor. Bob Newton, an Air Force veteran with service-linked disabilities, owns the company and confirmed to Breitbart News via email that Kelly has been “using [their] planes for regional travel.” NCE’s website makes no explicit reference to plane rentals on its publicly accessible pages, but it does note a “Specialized Aircraft Club,” which Newton says offers aircraft use to members.
“We matched Senator Kelly up with the planes that best fit his needs,” said Newton. Kelly appears to often rent one plane in particular, a single-engine Columbia LC41-550FG with tail number N235SL. The plane is registered to the defense contractor and has mirrored some of Kelly’s travels on the campaign trail over the past month. Records from flight tracking website FlightAware show that on August 30, the plane departed Marana Regional Airport in Arizona at 7:27 a.m. and landed at Kingman Airport at 8:48 a.m. MST. At 9:07 a.m. MST, Kelly tweeted a video of himself readying a plane. In one angle, characters painted on the side of the plane read “5SL,” though Kelly’s body obstructs the beginning of the number. In another shot, the letter “N” can be seen on the side of the plane, but the camera angle cuts out the following characters. (See Tweet) After a brief stay in Kingman, N235SL departed at 11:34 a.m. and landed at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa at 12:37 p.m. MST. On August 31, N235SL took off from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport at 7:55 a.m. MST and landed at the Nogales International Airport at 8:48 a.m. At 9:16 a.m. MST, Kelly tweeted an image of himself in a cockpit with the caption “Get ready, Nogales,” and tail number N235SL is visible on the dashboard. (See Tweet) After a few hours, N235SL left the airport at 12:26 p.m. MST and arrived in Chinle Muni at 3:11 p.m. MST. At 2:48 MST, Kelly tweeted a mid-flight video accompanied by the caption “Headed to Chinle.” (See Tweet) Moreover, on April 29, Kelly tweeted a photo of himself and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) in the cockpit of the plane, evidenced by the tail number on the dashboard. Federal Election Commission records show his campaign paid NCE $2,985 that day. (See Tweet)
From January through June 2022, NCE has received $31,847.50 from the Democrat senator’s campaign for “Travel-Officially Connected.”
“Senator Kelly rents planes from a Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business so that he can fly himself across the state to meet Arizonans where they are because it makes him a better Senator,” Sarah Guggenheimer, a spokeswoman for Mark Kelly for Senate, told Breitbart News in a statement. “We’re proud to help Senator Kelly be a Senator for the whole state by ensuring he can cover more ground and visit parts of Arizona that are too often ignored,” Newton said. He told Breitbart News that the company owns more than five planes and that Kelly pays market rates.
Since 2012, the Department of Defense (DOD) has awarded NCE over $1 million in contracts, with the latest coming in August 2021, which was funded through legislation Kelly voted for and came while he was serving on the Armed Services Committee. In that contract, the DOD gave NCE $249,233 for “LASER TARGET ENGINEERING EVALUATION.” The contract’s start date is listed as August 27, 2021, and its end date is marked as February 26, 2022. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, which was the funding office for the contract, has confirmed to Breitbart News that the money used for the project came from the NDAA of 2021, which Kelly voted for.
Newton told Breitbart News that “as for NCE’s defense business activities, Senator Kelly and his office has had no involvement.” He further said that NCE has no current connection to any staffers or members of the Armed Services Committee other than Kelly, adding that “[b]ack in the day when I was in the AF working F-22/JSF etal in the Pentagon I knew all the guys, pre-2004. Havent talked to any of them since.”
In September 2019, the DOD awarded the contractor $527,832 for a “CAP FLEET MODERNIZATION STUDY.” The project’s end date was June 30, 2020. In May 2012, NCE received more than $250,000 for a “SPECIAL OPS” contract. As the Daily Beast’s Roger Sollenberger reported last September, Kelly rented one plane through NCE, a Lancair LC41-550FG single-engine plane, which was registered to Dr. Sheldon Gingerich, a pain management doctor from Tuscon, AZ. In November of 2020, Gingerich was hit with a federal indictment that detailed “31 counts of unlawful distributions of controlled substances, including alleged sham prescriptions for oxycodone, morphine, hydrocodone, and fentanyl,” Sollenberger noted. The allegations against Gingerich coincide with a nationwide fentanyl and opioid crisis that claimed the lives of nearly 81,000 Americans in 2021."
