Former President Trump subpoenaed by Jan. 6 committee

  • House January 6 select committee has subpoenaed former President Donald Trump as part of its ongoing investigation into the riot at the U.S. Capitol shortly before Trump left office in 2021.
  • The committee demanded that he turn over documents related to the inquiry by early next month and that he appear to testify before the committee on Nov. 14.
