FBI Singles Out Conservative Agents in ‘Purge,’ Retaliates Against Whistleblowers: GOP Lawmakers

 House Judiciary Republicans are asking a senior FBI official to testify in a transcribed interview, alleging the official has signed off on many "adverse personnel actions" against conservative agents, saying they were being targeted in a "purge."

• Their allegations concern Jennifer Leigh Moore, the executive assistant director of the FBI's human resources branch.
• Once a whistleblower makes a protected disclosure, an agency is prohibited from retaliating against the employee for that disclosure

The FBI has denied wrongdoing in a statement to media outlets

• "The FBI does not target or take adverse action against employees for exercising their First Amendment rights or for their political views; to allege otherwise is false and misleading," an FBI spokesperson said.
• FBI employees who report evidence of wrongdoing through a protected disclosure are protected from retaliation."
