The Cost Of Grain That Feeds The World Hits New 15-Year High

On Wednesday, the Thai Rice Exporters Association revealed that the price of Thai white rice 5% broken, a key Asian benchmark, reached a new 15-year high. Prices of the staple food that feeds billions of people worldwide are up over 50% since the start of 2022. Chief Asia Economist at HSBC Global Research, Frederic Neumann, recently told clients that skyrocketing rice prices present hurdles for central banks combating high inflation. "The memory of the 2008 Asian food price scare sits deep," Neumann wrote. He said, "Back then, rising rice prices in some economies quickly spilled over into other markets as consumers and governments across the region scrambled to secure supplies. It also lifted the prices of other staples, such as wheat, as buyers shifted to alternatives." Last month, Sara Menker, founder and CEO of Gro Intelligence, told Bloomberg TV on the sidelines of a conference in Singapore that the current food crisis surpassed the one in 2007-08, which ultima...

The Right Way to De-Weaponize the FBI

Last Monday, almost a full year after Seraphin's disclosure, the House Judiciary Committee released a report, "The FBI's Breach of Religious Freedom: The Weaponization of Law Enforcement Against Catholic Americans." Although the report details how the FBI "Abused its counterterrorism tools" to target Catholics, there are some key issues that Capitol Hill - and most media - missed completely. The FBI stigmatized a vast number of United States citizens as potential "Radical Traditional Catholic" terrorists based upon the existence of one criminal case involving a man who self-described as an RTC. The FBI's version of the facts, detailed in the Intelligence Note, describes a man who likely suffers from mental illness - hardly a cross-section of the Catholic population. The most shocking aspect of this, one that largely escaped public attention, is that the FBI memo states the subject wasn't even Catholic. The FBI never explained what "Th...

‘Experts’ Now Predict an Epidemic of Heart Failure

Japanese researchers have published a "Proof-of-concept" study suggesting COVID "Persistently infects the heart opportunistically potentially predicting a post COVID-19 era heart failure" epidemic. While conceding "There is limited research on persistent viral heart infections" and "Conclusive clinical evidence that persistent SARS-CoV-2 infection is associated with declined cardiac function has not been reported," the Riken research institute scientists said they had established a model "Experimentally demonstrat[ing] that cardiac tissues under persistent infections with SARS-CoV-2 are at high risk of cardiac dysfunction with additional hypoxic stress."   "Some people infected with the coronavirus may have persistent viral infections in their hearts. A testing system and treatment methods must be established in preparation for a 'heart failure pandemic,' in which we will see a rapid increase in the number of heart failure ...

California's Minimum-Wage Hike Hasn't Even Happened But It's Already Killing Jobs

That's certainly the case with the state's minimum wage hike, which is set to hit in 2024. Some industries will get an even bigger wage shock: fast-food minimum wages go up to $20 an hour starting in April. Workers in the health care industry will see their minimum wage rise to $18, $21 or $23 an hour, depending on the job. As study after study in recent years show, government-mandated minimum wage hikes usually hurt those they're meant to help. As for the argument that the hike is needed to "Keep up with inflation," whose inflation are we talking about? Just the workers? How about the businesses? With three-quarters of their costs being labor-related, they have to take immediate action, or go out of business. For the curious, there are literally dozens of studies and reports out there that explode the myths of raising minimum wages, ranging from Walter B. Williams' 1977 landmark study for Congress that showed minority youths suffered most when minimum wages ...

Florida Surgeon General believes when real truth comes out on COVID vaccines, Pfizer will cease to exist…

There's a big statement on the COVID vaccine coming out of Florida, and it could be the final nail in Pfizer's coffin. As negative news piles up around the controversial vaccine, it looks like the American public is waking up from their media-induced haze and is now rejecting the vaccine and its four zillion boosters with a vengeance. With all these reports of sudden deaths among healthy, likely vaccinated people worldwide, who can blame them? Not surprisingly, the number of Americans lining up for vaccines and boosters has plummeted. On Sept. 12, the CDC recommended that everyone six months and older should get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of the illness as we roll into the winter months. Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo on the DNA Contamination Found in the mRNA COVID Vaccines "I think when the real damage has been totally accounted for, honestly I'm not sure we're going to even have a Pfizer anymore. I...

Michigan Supreme Court Rejects Trump Ballot Ban Case Brought by Soros, Hamas-Linked Group.

Michigan's Supreme Court has ruled against petitioners seeking to remove former President Donald Trump from the state's 2024 primary ballot. "Free Speech For People", a group who ostensibly filed the lawsuit on behalf of a group of Michigan voters, argued Section 3 of the 14th Amendment bars Trump for holding elected office - alleging Trump had lead an insurrection against the United States on January 6th, 2021. Free Speech For People is a far-left group funded by George Soros's fund, the Rockefeller Family Fund, the climate alarmism lobby, and the Hamas-linked Tides Foundation. Email address With dueling rulings from the Michigan and Colorado State Supreme Courts, the urgency for the United States Supreme Court to settle the matter has only increased. It is expected the legal team for former President Trump will appeal the Colorado ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court this week. Unlike Colorado, Michigan does not have a provision in their state election law requirin...

Founder Of Group Behind Trump's Removal From Colorado Ballot Is Former Biden Advisor.

The founder of the group that brought the lawsuit responsible for President Donald Trump's removal from the 2024 Colorado ballot is a former advisor to President Joe Biden, War Room can reveal. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a self-identified "Nonpartisan" watchdog, brought the Colorado lawsuit against Trump on behalf of "Six Republican and unaffiliated Colorado voters including former state, federal and local officials." In addition to financial links to far-left mega donor George Soros and Joe Biden's campaign, CREW's founder and former Executive Director Melanie Sloan also retains link to President Biden. These mounting conflicts of interest continue to indicate that the removal of President Trump from Colorado's ballot was a politically motivated hit job aimed at interfering with the 2024 election in favor of Biden. Sloan served as the Nominations Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee under then-Chairman Joseph Biden b...
