CHATTANOOGA, TN This Saturday, June 20, “Slide the City” arrives in Chattanooga, featuring a 1,000 foot-long water slide in downtown. Participants purchase a wristband to participate, and get to slide down the padded water slide that covers more than three football fiends in an inflatable inner tube. The “Slide the City” website says the massive slide will be on 5th Street between Lookout Street and Broad Street. Live music, food, drinks and of course, water will be part of the family-friendly event. Expected to start at noon and run until 5:00pm, there's also a VIP option that extends the time from 11:00am to noon, and again from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Kids must be over 46 inches tall, and those under 18 will need a signature from a parent or guardian to slide. Prices range from $15 upward, depending on how many slides you want. The event will take place rain or shine. All Photography by Samuel E Burns
It's becoming increasingly difficult to discern fact from fiction, and unfortunately the media has a strong bias. They spin stories to make conservatives look bad and will go to great lengths to avoid reporting on the good that comes from conservative policies. There are a few shining lights in the media landscape-brave conservative outlets that report the truth and offer a different perspective. We must support conservative outlets like this one and ensure that our voices are heard.
