Former Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka returning to the White House

President-elect Donald Trump announced that Sebastian Gorka, a former adviser, will return to his administration as deputy assistant to the president and senior director for counterterrorism. In his announcement, Trump praised Gorka's support for the "America First Agenda" and highlighted his extensive background in national security. Gorka, who was born in London to Hungarian immigrants, has lived in the U. S. since moving there in 2008 and became a citizen in 2012.

Gorka previously served in Trump's first term but left the White House after a few months amid internal conflicts. He later continued to support Trump through media appearances and his own platforms. Notably, he has been involved in legal battles regarding subpoenas from the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riot.

Trump reminisced about their professional connection, stating that Gorka was an advisor during the early days of his campaign and had notable academic and military credentials, including a position at the National Defense University. Gorka has also been outspoken about his views on governmental operations, frequently criticizing what he perceives as a "deep state" attempting to obstruct Trump's agenda.
